1. Advertising Pay Per Click (such as google adwords)- Many search engines offer pay per click. They will send people to your business for a fee each time an ad of yours which is displayed is clicked on. Usually the fee is relatively small. This is nice because you already know that these people have at least some interest in your business. Although they may not spend a penny with you, you at least get the exposure. You also have the opportunity to choose your budget for these ads.
2. Website - Your website is your virtual business card. Having a website lends credibility and accessibility to your website. If you can create a user friendly, content rich site, your numbers on the google ranking and yahoo ranking will inevitibly increase, therefore increasing your visibility as well as customer base and exposure. I can help with this:
Atlanta Graphic Design3. Put a sign in your front yard or in the yard of a friend or relative with your name and website address on it. This is a good way for your neighbors to find out about your new business as well as any people that ride by your house. Make sure that you check with your zoning authorities if any type of signage is allowed in front of the property.
4. Place a magnetic sign or bumper sticker on your car. Now, when you are riding down the road, sitting at a stop sign, or leaving your car parked at the mall or grocery store, you are getting free advertising. Here in Atlanta the possibility of being stuck in traffic is very real and the number of people that you can expose your business to for the small cost of a magnet is HUGE.
5. Flyers - Businesses like grocery stores, libraries, laundromats, hair salons and others will let you place a free ad on their public bulletin board. You may also be able to utilize interns and college students/high school students who are needing to make a few bucks over the summer by having them actually hand out flyers at local establishments. Always talk to the business owner first. You may even be able to work out some kind of business referral arrangement.
6. Business cards - Don't leave home without them. I leave them on restaurant tables when i'm done eating, in menus, in bathrooms, in waiting rooms. Anywhere a potential client might be. Do you need a business card designed?

8. Always Place your website address in your e-mail signature.
9. Respond to blogs and include your website address as a link in your signature, or better yet, START A BLOG yourself!
10.Word of Mouth - The least expensive form of advertising and maybe the most effective way to advertise your business is word of mouth. Make sure you take care of the clients you do have and reward them for thier referrals and word of mouth business may be the form of advertising that takes you over the edge!
