Advertising in a Recession

Its always important in a recession to continue to advertise.  Don't cut your budget by cutting the driving force behind your business.  If you lose your customers because you aren't reaching them anymore nothing will propel you through this crisis and into better days ahead.

I would reccommend using the power of the internet and cheaper print media to continue to bring in customers.  I would offer loyalty bonuses and perks to the clients that continue to do business with you as well as offer something special to new business and referrals.  Your website can really speak loudly for you in these days ahead.  There are so many free ways of advertising and getting your name out there now a days.

Most Importantly- Keep up with the times!  Don't discount social networking sites like, Twitter, Myspace, and Facebook, they are excellent FREE forums to build relationships and isn't that what good marketers are after?  Relationships.  They will absolutely save your A$$ in this economic struggle.  Build them, nurture them, keep them, and use them.

If you have any questions or need help with your business, I do consulting work for free (to a point) for small businesses.  I'd love to help you out. My site is www.streamingimagesdesign.com  I'm based in Atlanta.  Let me know how I can help you!
